NZ’s label wins the prize for a great graphic…you can’t not wonder about it. Like: Whole Foods had a big display near their entrance. How could you not see NZ? The letters are huge. It’s been several years that articles and ratings have been raving about the sauvignon blancs from New Zealand’s Marlborough and Wellington regions. So the giant NZ catches your eye. You think…this must be a New Zealand white. You walk over and take a look at the fine print. A mix of vineyards in New Zealand. You wonder, like Trader Joe’s Cheap Chuck? Also meaning will it give me headaches like Cheap Chuck does? Then you look at the price on the display sign. $17 something. Not cheap. Is the bottle bigger, you wonder. You pick it up. Maybe a little bigger than normal. Then you think…what the hey, and put it in your grocery cart.
“NZ” guarantees curiosity. Look how long I spent over at the display. And I bought.
The wine was tasty. Cupcake’s sauvignon blanc from NZ is lots cheaper and tastes good, too.

New Zealand wine! My best friend from college married a New Zealander. His sister runs a B&B /vineyard in New Zealand, so as a gift, I have one of her bottles. But that’s the only one I’ve tried. Glad to hear of your review!
